It will ease those nerves

For all my anxious brides out there this is my GO TO advice. Because girl, Ive been there. I was sooooooo nervous during the ceremony that I honestly don’t remember much of it. Whoops. My feelings of anxiety prevented me from being in the moment and trust me, during your wedding ceremony, you REALLY want to live in that moment! Yes of course you will have your photos and videos and that really did help me look back and love it all but I didn’t love the feeling of standing up there in front of everyone having not said ONE WORD to my hubs. Idk, it just felt weird and unnatural.

If I had done First Looks beforehand, I would have felt much more relaxed and at ease with all that was happening. I could have enjoyed the words that were being shared and my only feelings would have been of love and bliss…not overwhelming nerves! Can I get an Amen!

Time is your friend

Trying to fit in ALL your photos in your cocktail hour is chaotic and exhausting! You will have your couples photos, bridal party photos, family AND extended family photos. Although it can be done, you will enjoy this time with your family so much more when it doesn’t feel like a whirlwind of picture taking. When you do couples photos and bridal party photos before the ceremony you can either enjoy a relaxed session with your family and even have more time to visit with guests during cocktail hour.

You get more photos

Yes, yes, yes! This is a big one. Who wouldn’t love to have more photos!? Especially if your photographer is bomb 😉 Because you have more time you will get more photos! This is the time to celebrate with your friends and let your photographer capture you while you’re relaxed and enjoy each other while being around your closest friends! This also may give you the opportunity to pick a location that you love, rather than just a place that is near the ceremony location.

I can say with 100% certainty you will not regret doing a first look but you maaaaay regret not doing one (yo girl does)
